More tests, more waiting …but to God be the glory

More tests, more waiting …but to God be the glory

I think the new hair cut goes well with the hospital robe. What do y’all think?

The echo test was painless. No needles, no discomfort. Just a wand over various parts of my body to test my heart. The doctors need to ensure that the heart is in tip top shape before chemotherapy. Easy peezy. It’s the waiting that drives you crazy.

The CT scan was also pretty painless. However, I wasn’t aware that I needed to DRINK the contrast prior to the test. After I drank 32oz of an indistinguishable liquid (approximately an hour after I arrived at the hospital), I was escorted to the back to begin the CT scan. The technician and the doctors were amazing. It’s like every doctor that I’ve interacted with thus far has had Chic-fila training. Since Theo was not allowed in the back, they even stood in as photographers. 📸 They gave me a copy of my disc and let me know that my doctor would be able to read the results within a few hours. Great! So I texted my doctor to ask him to expedite the reading of the CT scan results. You see, I have a second opinion on Monday, and I wanted to KNOW the results of the CT scan before I handed them the disc that was burning a hole in my purse. He understood my request, and agreed to expedite. Nothing left to do but wait. But while we wait, we may as well shop.

At 11:28 am, my phone rang. I recognized the number immediately and answered it. I was told that the CT scan was clear of any tumors outside of my right breast. The breast cancer was localized. It wasn’t in my nodes and only in my right breast. God is undefeated!

Obviously, I was eager to share this fantastic news with my prayer warriors. They’ve been holding me down since the beginning, and this was indeed a praise report! God is so good and worthy to be praised.
